Late in the summer, Anton had an accident. He was laying the cement foundation on his house up in Oulu

and got his left ring finger caught in the gears of the cement mixer. In this blinding pain, he had to figure out

how to reverse the gears to release his finger. It was in there for almost a minute. It got EXTREMELY

mangled and for a while was suspected to be gangrenous. These are some photos of the healing process.

They are gross, so be warned.

That ball is the end of a long pin that was inserted into the bone to prevent motion. These pics were taken

at Woodhull Hospital, Brooklyn's premiere medical facility. They really run a tight ship.
