For Labor Day weekend this year, my older brother Andrew and I decided to go on a Wisconsin roadtrip.

It was my job to put together the itinerary and ipod playlists and his job was the car. Can you imagine how

surprised I was to discover he had NEVER been to Ishnala, one of my most favorite places on earth? Ishnala

was at one time an Indian Trading Post and is now a supper club just outside the Wisconsin Dells.

The bar is horseshoe shaped and overlooks Mirror Lake

Some years and owners later, the Hoffmann Brothers took over. Only two of nine are still alive.

In my opinion, the food here is only pretty good and quite expensive. I suggest drinks and apps or maybe sharing an entree.

Out these doors is lovely deck. I usually hang out here and drink salted margs and YOU can drive us home

The Yellow Jackets were so bad this year and were featured on local news stations as a picnicing danger

I love he so much

Ladies Lounge

After happy hour sunset there I like to go checkout the Dells nightlife.

Andrew's suped up Camery delivered us in style up and down the Sconnie miles
