I went to Madison to surprise my mom for mother's day. I had her blindfolded and listening to a mixtape

and then when she pulled them off, POOF! There I was! She kept saying "Maria?! Maria?! Maria?! Maria?!"

Aw man it was HILARE!!

We went to our old friend's the Stumpfs for dinner one night. Man, I haven't seen them in

years! Carl made delish Farmer's Market grilled trout with tosted almonds that pretty much

kicked ass. Thanks Carl, Sharyn and Angela!

Angela drew this Julia Roberts portrait a couple years ago which is so amazing

Much like my beloved dad, Sharyn has a green thumb. She rescued some plants from his garden

after he died and planted them in her garden. YOU GUYS LOOK SO GREAT! Wish you were here
