We were finally approaching Sturgis but decided to camp in a spot near by to avoid the crazies.

Our campsite was next to a steam that doubled as a fridge for beer and ziplocked perishables.

And for drinking water, we had to go a mile and a half up the road to a secret turn-off and fill bottles up from this pipe.

Anton is a natural builder and put up a super-effective rain blocking roof on the tent.

Intruders: BEWARE!

 

One of the days we just hung around and cooked....

...and made stuff out of leather. Seems purse school was good for a couple things after all!

Some nights it rained, and other nights we'd see big sky sunsets.

And a puppet show in the morning.
